Scott Heeter has stressed to the company in recent years that adaptability is a critical element to business and personal success. Given this, Heeter has been increasing the training for its team to be sure we are prepared for the coming years.
Here is a summary of what we’ve done recently.
EFI Connect
Heeter’s major software partner is EFI who put on an annual user conference in January. We work closely with EFI. Heeter sent a series of Heeter teammates to EFI to attend educational sessions so they can more efficiently use EFI’s software in 2019. Andy Booth, the President of the EFI User Group, led the group’s trip.
Leadership Training
All Heeter Managers received Leadership and Influence training in January. This training covered:
- Adapting leadership styles
- Influencing and motivating employees
- Challenging the process- not doing things the way they are always done
- Modeling the way for employees, communication, setting goals, and creating a long term plan.
Project Management Certification
Kayla Front took training for preparation for the PMP (Project Management) certification that she’ll sit for later this year. PMP certification insures holders focus on tasks to complete projects successfully, efficiently, on time, and within budget. This pays big benefits to our customers and team.
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
Kevin Driscoll is preparing for the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) that he’ll sit for later this year. Earning the CISSP helps Kevin better effectively design, implement and manage our cybersecurity program.
ITIL Foundation
Brian Flavin took ITIL Foundation course work which is a framework of best practices for delivering IT services. ITIL’s systematic approach to IT service management can help businesses manage risk, strengthen customer relations, establish cost-effective practices, and build a stable IT environment that allows for growth, scale and change.
Excel Training
The Customer Service Team took custom Excel training in December that focused on Formulas, Creating Charts, and Pivot Tables.
Accounting Team Members Shelley DiGiorno and Jordan Spence also received Excel training.
