We’ve got some exciting changes taking place at Heeter. Effective immediately, Kirk Schlecker has been appointed President of Heeter.
Current President Scott Heeter and Executive Vice President Tim Thomas will become Heeter’s Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer, respectively.
In this role, Kirk will be the first non-family member in our company’s 75 year history to serve as President.
Mr. Schlecker will oversee the day-to-day affairs of the company and continue to work closely with Misters Heeter and Thomas on the strategic initiatives of the firm. All Production and Operations’ Departments, along with Sales, Information Technology, and Customer Service, will report to the new President.
Schlecker is one of the country’s foremost experts on inkjet printing techniques and applications. Schlecker led Heeter to be the first commercial printer in the United States to successively install two of Ricoh’s latest inkjet presses. He is a frequent panelist at industry events on software and inkjet technology.
“Kirk is a proven leader who truly understands the integration of people, technology and manufacturing,” said Scott Heeter. “With the rapid changes in the print industry and evolving needs of our customers, Kirk’s expertise and leadership becomes very important as we chart Heeter’s future path.”
Schlecker joined Heeter in January, 2014, after having run several top print and fulfillment companies in the Chicago area.
Kirk has a background in Lean Manufacturing which helps Heeter continue to refine its standard operational procedures and bring better accountability within the company.
